Fri., 9/2: HW: 1-page response, evaluation both summer reading texts based upon
rhetorical appeal

Wed., 9/7: Choose one passage from each of your two summer reading texts.
For each, copy and “mark-up” the excerpt.
For each, write a 1-page analysis in which you:
–identify the rhetorical appeal of the passage
–analyze specific use of word choice (diction) that contributes
to the overall appeal

Fri. 9/9: Exam on rhetorical terminology
