Friday, 9/11: Excerpt three passages from your summer book choice. For each, copy the excerpt and provide a lose reading of approximately 1-2 pages, using rhetorical terminology.

Friday, 9/18: Buried Onions (Soto). Read and submit 15 double-entry journal entries.

Friday, 9/25: The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger). Have the entire book read by this date. AP-Style Exam

Friday, 10/2: Excerpt and analyze three pieces of text using vernacular language. Copy excerpt and provide a 1-2 page close reading for each.
